KataLYST Commercial was founded by Jared Husmann, CCIM — a third-generation real estate entrepreneur who has spent his career on both sides of the table. Jared isn’t just a broker. He’s a commercial property owner who has negotiated his own leases, managed his own tenants, and made his own investment decisions. That perspective changes everything about how we advise our clients. When we tell you what to look for in a deal, it’s because we’ve lived it ourselves.

KataLYST serves commercial investors, business owners, and property owners across the Des Moines, Iowa market — where we have spent years building deep relationships, tracking market data, and closing deals across retail, office, industrial, and multifamily asset classes. We publish quarterly market newsletters so our Iowa clients always know what the numbers are telling us.

We are actively expanding into the Austin, Texas market, bringing the same data-driven, owner-first approach to one of the most dynamic commercial real estate markets in the country. Our Austin clients benefit from access to CoStar and industry-leading research platforms, combined with the hands-on advisory style that has defined KataLYST from day one.
